Brian McNeill
Larger than life, former Fatea life Time Achievement Award Winner, Brian McNeill holds the record for the most consecutive appearances at Cambridge, this year sees another notch on his belt.
The reason that Brian has knocked up that record is that he hosts the Festival Session, where other festival bands come to join each other on stage and mix things up a bit. There have been some truly unique combination of artists at the session and there's many a festival goer that's there for the whole run.
Brian McNeill is a whole lot more than a congenial host. He gets to play a set as well, packing out the stage he's playing. The reason for that well, lets start with being a renaissance man, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer arranger, novelist, politician, man of the people.
You never know what you are going to get with Brian McNeill as a raconteur he can change the direction of his set between songs and has so much that he can draw on. There were very good reasons we gave him a lifetime achievement award.
